Acts of service

Right or wrong my identity is very wrapped up in being a mother.
Yes I am a wife, daughter, friend etc but I find pride and worth in being a Mom.

So part of that is enabling. (some may think that's a bad thing) ~sewing on my son's 2 (they just popped off) blazer buttons on the morning of back to school day instead of any other day in the preceding holidays.
What can I say, what can I say, I have the time and acts of service is a love language for both of us.

But then you come to me with your towel, not sure if it is clean or not. You've used it a few times but maybe it could use a wash? I tell you to sniff it. Sniff it? You do and recoil, so I say "put it  in the wash"

You are delighted that you know have a defining test for cleanliness. What can I say? I have passed on yet another life skill. That is what it is all about, getting my children ready to face the world as adults.

Love your layout with the deep, rich colors. Parenting is all about these little acts of service that prepare our children to go forth in the world - great thoughts!
