Debbie's challenge 82.

Journalling reads

It's not hard to look back and find out where the family passion for cricket came from. Keith was an avid cricketer which led on to the Harrison boys being equally keen. Babs was dragged in too for her superb tea making abilities!
When we moved here in 2000, Andrew was instumental in reviving the village cricket club, and even though he no longer plays, pleasure can still be had watching Max develop a cricketing passion of his own, a passion for the game which has spanned generations.

Another one from Karen

Journalling ( on the photo) reads

For Nancy the best time of the day is when Daddy comes home and she can have a nice sit down with him. It is a battle sometimes to compete with the boys who want Daddy to play football or cricket in the garden but you always get your way in the end.  You cuddle up with your bottle of milk and watch the TV. It doesn't matter what you watch, just that you are with Daddy. You squabble with your brother's if they get in the way. But true to form it doesn't last long, you fidget and wiggle until Daddy gets fed up and Makes you move!

Cabbie's challenge 82.

title: good times

journaling:

dad and sons had a great time during one of their nature getaways. it's the bonding and laughter that creates a unique flow between dad and sons. they share their passion with nature because good times begin with what they all love... and that's spending time with each other.

 Just Like Dad layout.
 Journaling reads:

Dad & I rarely follow the instructions that come with things. From flat pack furniture to new games. We both prefer to work stuff out for ourselves by trial & error.

Karen's 2nd challenge 82.

4 peas from the same pod
You may not all look alike but the similarities are there, the love of science and maths, the hatred of mushrooms, the ability to flick your toes. Thank goodness you all seem to have my nose.

Meet Karen.

My name is Karen and I have been scrapbooking for three years since the birth of my daughter.
I am currently living in the Netherlands so I am an enforced stay at home Mum of three (My Dutch is not good enough to work as a teacher as I did in the UK). I am on a mission to make a LO for everyday this year and I am not doing to badly( I am about a week behind schedule)
(Karen doesn't have a blog yet, so I can't link you up, but please welcome her to our team anyway.)

Her first LO.

Grandad
I love the old pictures of my Grandad and me.
I'm always so happy and smiling.
Even now I miss him and wish he were here to talk to.

Jennifer's challenge 82.

Attached are a few pics of my layout for challenge 82, titled 'My silly mad, funny Dad'. Here's the journaling:

'My Pa, the biggest Doomer Floomer that ever was, is a bit of a loony. And that's great, coz I'm a bit of a loony too! When we get together we act like big kids, making up silly names for each other (I'm the Flooming of Doom apparently), and always trying to see the bright side of life.
He loves the fun of 'wierd fish' t-shirts, and he can be easily spotted in his bright red jacket and stripey hat. He makes me smile lots when he comes to stay. I hope he never grows up!'

Janis' challenge 81.

Journaling: If there is one artsy thing that I look forward to every weekend, it will have to be my playtime with my Nikon. This is my relax time, my de-stresser. To explore and marvel at the beauty I find in simple things is a true joy my weekend exploration brings

Liza's challenge 81.

Title:  Sunday Habit

Journaling:
It has become a staple part of our Sunday ritual. Before we attend mass, and in case we're not able to eat at home, we head over to McDonald's for our morning fix.  It's always any of the breakfast meals, juice and hash browns. No Sunday morning is complete without this stopover. And don't forget the spiritual fix after...

Debbie's challenge 81

Journalling reads

Weekend! Don't you just love them? Should be free time to have fun and enjoy life! For me? Well first of all there's all the washing and ironing. I do wash all week but there's always a backlog to catch up with at weekends. Then it's all got to be ironed and put away. Then there's the extra ironing I take in ......
CLEANING! I'm quite lucky as Andrew does most of the cleaning, and just very occasionally I'll don my marigolds!
DOG WALKS! Definitely only on Saturdays and Sundays do the dogs get serious walkies! Saturday night TV is a must for us, often with a takeaway. X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, Dr Who - love it!
And just every now and again, a glass of vino ;)

Darlene's challenge 81.

Meet Darlene.

My name is Darlene and I love all things handmade. I am a huge fan of paper crafts and I've been totally HOOKED (to say the least!) on scrapbooking for over a year now. I have a husband who is currenty serving in the military and I am wonderfully blessed mother to a 3 year old princess (or so you would think!). I love using sketches, either by my own design or using one off the internet. I would describe my style as journaling heavy and ever-evolving with each new layout. I am currently in a super bright colors phase, but I love doing softer pages as well.  I am so super excited to be part of the very talented Journaling Junkies team!

“Happy Saturday”
Memorial Day weekend, 2010, we did a fun family activity, we visited a carnival in town! Chris was on a winning streak and got prizes from each booth! Ally had an all-you-can-ride bracelet and went on all the kids rides… twice! After the carnival we went to get some yummy refreshing ice cream on that first weekend of Summer. We had a lovely and happy Saturday!

Jennifer's challenge 81.

the page is titled: 'relax it's Sunday'.

Here's the journaling:
'I love Sundays. They used to always be Alex's day off, so it was our time to relax. My favourite things to do on a Sunday are going for long walks in the countryside, or hunting for bargains at car boot sales. My fave recent buy is a little red suitcase - bright and cute, and a great deal at £3! We also like having food we don't normally eat in the week - usually a bacon butty in the summer or a cosy roast in the winter. We often work Sundays now, but it makes the ones we share even more special!'

Friday, 4 June 2010

Stefanie's challenge 81.

We wake up without the alarm and often I make something special; French toast and pancakes are the most popular. Dad takes CJ to soccer. We may grab a snack for lunch. Afternoons are for working around the house doing odd jobs. Maybe even a catnap in the sun on our bed. I love to bake cakes, cupcakes or create treats, especially if we’re getting visitors. Evenings are spent socialising, playing games with friends or curling up in front of the tv watching a great family movie, with soft blankets to snuggle into.

Olivia's challenge 81.

This layout is about my first 'free' Saturday after my final course exam a few weeks ago. With the wide range of colours in my photos I was finding it difficult to decide upon a theme for my page. To solve the problem I created a file folder for the smaller photos and used the largest photo to set the theme.

Journaling reads:
It was nice to wake up early & be greeted by bright sunshine at breakfast. I put on a summery outfit & my new, pretty bird necklace. We went to the library in the morning & shopping in the afternoon. I bought lots of storage to help tidy my room & built the shelf watching the final of Over the Rainbow.

Cindy's challenge 81.

'A Typical Saturday?'

The journaling says:
"Saturday 29 May 2010.  It should've been a typical Saturday of house cleaning, dance lessons and a game or 2 with the girls.  The morning went to plan then it all changed.  We got invited to ice-skating and Alina received a birthday invite for the next weekend.  So the afternoon was jam packed with ice-skating and present shopping.  Wish every Saturday was the same.
1. Do the dishes
2. Wash the clothes (raining today so hanging inside)
3. Dance lessons - Alina
4. Prepare pumpkin soup for night's dinner
5. Ice-skating!!!
6. Present shopping - bought mini kitchen sink and accessories
7. Dinner - soup
Followed by 6.30pm family movie on Prime TV - Toy Story then Toy Story 2"
