Stefanie's challenge 88.

Title: I love to create.

I did extra art in Primary School and every term we learnt something new. Pinch pots, batik, drawing in pastels, painting to mention just a few. That hour and a half every Wednesday did a lot to boost my  self-esteem and give me a creative outlet. My aunty Peggy taught me to knit. My first and only time of sleep walking was that night. My mother caught me trying to open my cupboard around mid night, saying I was looking for knitting patterns. I knitted quite a few jerseys and scarves. Peggy was also the one who taught me to crochet, I never really took to that but did complete a purple hot water bottle cover. In school we also learnt hand embroidery and sewing, we had such old machines, turning a wheel on the right to stitch. Julie introduced me to fabric painting (fat ladies and tablecloths) and cross stitch. I was such a prolific X-stitcher I actually needed glasses at 23. Arina introduced me to beading, and I made various necklaces, bracelets and even a handbag.
While I have enjoyed all of these crafts, nothing even comes close to my passion for scrapbooking. It Combines my love of photography with capturing our personal stories. I don’t think I will ever out grow this, my passion, my delight. And now that I am getting better at the digi thing, the sky really is the limit.
