I have been busy creating layouts for the bingo challenges at ScrapMatters.
The first one I just used a scattering of words and a quote by Anne Frank.
Kit is Snow Day by Elise's Pieces
Template is Gratitude template eleven by MemoryClips by Ramona.

I digi dare you...
Playing along with the Digi Dares today, you can find the challenge 254 here.
My papers and elements are from Design by Tina ( kraft is designer stash 6, kit is Back in time)
Elise's Pieces for the stitching
Journaling strips from Shabby Princess - harvest Spice
* One photo only. Make it the focus of your page.
* No faces in the photo. The picture has to be centered on an inanimate object that helps you tell your story. (If there are residual body parts in the story… ie kids feet by a pile of toys, etc, that’s fine. But NO faces. No people as the focus. Got it?)
* Journaling. Give us the details of the story that your photo is telling. We want people twenty years from now to be able to understand what this photo means to you.
* Have your journaling interact with / overlap your photo somehow. You can journal around the perimeter of your photo, journal straight on your photo, use your photo as
the background, overlay journaling strips over your photo… however you want to interpret this is fine.
* Stitch your photo down somehow.
* Kraft. Use kraft paper or elements or alpha. Whatever. But get some kraft on this page somehow.

I am thankful for my Sisters in law.
Elise's Pieces Designs - guesting at the digichick for November, you can find this beautiful kit here.
Journaling:
I am most thankful for family.
That this family that I married into accepted me with wide open arms and made me one of their own.
This family tree is so welcoming and blessed and I am overjoyed to have been grafted into these branches, all part of the rich heritage created by Grandad Jack and his parents.
This legacy of unconditional love and acceptance that can be passed down through our children and grandchildren.
God's blessing and favour upon our relations.

this is what they said

Karen's challenge 116.
Karen made a LO about the bits of Nancy she is thankful for.
the journaling reads
there are so many things I love about Nancy 1. the cute face, freckles, big eyes, just adorable 2. her odd little felt pen tattoos- these look like measles 3. that she likes me to do her hair in the morning 4. her imagination- at the Wolves she decided to make up the score as she didn't like the real one.
What a great take on the challenge.

Linking you up
Do you often not feature in your scrapbooks because you're the one holding the camera?
Tips on getting into the frame because your children want to see you in their albums too.
One story down.
Telling stories: because you actually did have a life before you had children.
Telling stories : Pensieve.
Sometimes you want to add journaling but don't want everybody to be able to read it.
Shimelle: adding pockets.
A really great blog post about where to start telling your stories.
Something I haven't really thought of doing because I start at the beginning, through the middle to the end, but I need to try this one next.
Chelle's Creations : go fishing.

Just friends
is Elsie's latest release, on sale now, it is a beautiful gender neutral kit that can be used for many things but I was inspired to capture my daughter's first crush.
She speaks about him ALL THE TIME.
She confides to me that he fills her dreams too.
I am not really that surprised, she seems to be just a little obsessed, wrapped in the emotions of her first crush.
Now tell me, who was yours?
